Robert M. Broaddus, O.D.
Dr. Broaddus was born and raised in Springfield, MO where he attended Drury Universtiy and graduated with a BA in English. Optometry school and a Masters in Vision Science was completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001. Dr. Broaddus joined Olathe Family Vision in 2001 and started seeing patients at Windmill Eye Associates in 2005. He is a member of the American and Kansas Optometric Associations. With his wife and children, he lives in Leawood, KS and enjoys being a taxi to swim meets, baseball games, and Judo/Jiu Jitsu. He also enjoys cars, cooking, wine and is an avid Royals fan.
Mary Pirotte Hemphill, O.D.
Dr. Mary Pirotte Hemphill was raised in Wichita, and after attending the University of Kansas, she graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1988. After graduation, she then joined the staff as an optometrist at the Eye Center of Kansas City/Hunkler Eye Center, for approximately eight years, providing primary care, pre- and post-operative surgical care.
She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Hemphill has been with Windmill Eye Associates since 1997, in addition to seeing patients at Olathe Family Vision West. She enjoys singing in her church choir, yoga, travel, and going to estate sales.
Gerard Lozada, O.D.
Dr. Gerard Lozada has both his Bachelor of Chemistry and Doctorate of Optometry degrees from the Universtiy of Houston. After graduating, Dr. Lozada worked in private practice with an eye surgeon, was a faculty member at the University of Houston College of Optometry, and has volunteered to provide pro bono eye care in Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. Dr. Lozada is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Kansas Optometric Association and was in solo practice at Rosedale Vision Center before joining Windmill Eye Associates. In 2013, Dr. Lozada received the Distinguished Service Award for his work on the states Blue Ribbon Panel on Infant Mortality. In 2015, Dr. Lozada was appointed by the governer for a three-year term to the Kansas State Board of Examiners in Optometry.
